The Position of Hadith (Tradition) in the Contemporary Exegeses with Emphasizing on Tafsir al-Furqan (the Criterion) of Ayatollah Sadeqi Tehrani

Using the Islamic traditions (Hadiths) in the exegesis of the Quran has been reduced over the past two centuries. Perhaps it is because of expanding of rationalism, the commentary of the Quran by the Quran and keeping away from exegesis of ambiguities and presenting a clear and uncomplicated exegesis, expanding of scholarly exegetical method and attention to the social and training issues of the Quran. This paper aims carefully to reinvestigate the position and the value of using traditions (hadiths) and reasons and factors which make it be reduced to use in the exegesis (tafsir) of al- Furqan fi Tafsir al-Quran wa Sunnah which is one of the most important contemporary exegeses.
