Traffic and Natural Environmental Effects of Sport Stadiums On Urban Environment of Yazd

The purpose of this research was traffic and natural environmental effects of sport stadiums on urban environment of Yazd. Method of research was survey and population included the people living around the stadiums، police personnel’s، properties consultants and sport boards chiefs and specialists of physical education organizations. After a pilot study on 30 peoples، 256 peoples were estimated through available random sampling. The total amount of polices were 33 persons، properties consultants were 38 persons and sport boards chiefs and the specialists of physical education organizations were 53 persons that accounted as population. The instrument was researcher made questionnaire that validity of it was confirmed by academic members and experts after a pilot study on 30 people; its reliability was calculated 0. 85 through Cronbach’s α index. Data Analysis done by univariable t-test and showed that obtained means in case of natural environmental effects on the region by people’s viewpoints was lower than (2. 79) moderate level (3)، but in traffic effects، the resulting averages was more than (3. 71) moderate level. Results showed that sport stadiums of Yazd had no negative effects on natural environmental، and had meaningful negative effects on traffic environmental of sport stadiums. We suggested choosing solitude and suitable zones of cities for building and structure of new stadiums.
