Determination of Parathyroid Hormone and Marker of Bone Formation Changes After One Session of Acute Endurance Activity in Untrained Young Girls

The aim of this study was investigate the effect of one session endurance activity on Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) and Marker of Bone Formation Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) in untrained young girls with the averages of age 21. 95±1. 22 yrs، height 161. 65±3. 1 cm and weight 63. 07±2. 2 kg. 20 young girls students (20-25 years old) were divided randomly in two groups of endurance and control. Exercise protocols in endurance group included running on a treadmill and for 45 minutes with %45 Vo₂ max. Blood sample were collected in three stages (in base، 15 minutes and 24 hours after the activity). Data was analyzed via repeated measures، post hoc least significant difference (LSD) and independent t-test in level P ≤0. 05. Results showed that the concentration of PTH and ALP increased significantly in endurance group in different stages after one session of acute endurance activity (P=0/001). The present research showed one session of endurance activity in untrained young girls increase PTH and ALP and so these activities can be used as an unmedical treatment and increase bone density and prevent of osteoporosis during past of years.
