The Text Study of Aqa Jamal Khansari's Aqayed ul-Nisa or Kolthum Naneh (Based on the common beliefs, rituals, and traditions, popular religion, and women's status)

Kolthum Naneh is the title of a satirical and critical book written by Aqa Jamal Khansari (1713)، a jurisprudent during the Safavid era. Kolthum Naneh reviews the common religious aspects and superstitious beliefs among women، and is a written document about the ethics، rituals، and traditions of ordinary Iranian women. The aim of this article is to introduce the book and its author، and then to study the narratology of this valuable text. As one of the most important popular works in the history of Iran''s literature، the book Kolthum Naneh has always been neglected by researchers. We attempt to investigate the content of the book using the sociological criticism method، and from three points of view of popular beliefs، the popular image of religiosity، and the status of women during the author''s era.
