Calculating the amount of blood money (diah) in vegetable life caused by crime

Vegetative state is a kind of life that the person is incapable for doing his/her voluntary acts and because of brain hemispheres’ injury, may not return to his/her normal life. In this case, the injuries can be included several damages like loss of bladder control, paralysis of organs and etc. The vegetative life is not considered as death and paying a blood money (diah) for damage is a principle, so according to dominant view of jurists and legal opinions, the injured person is entitled to more than one blood money (diah).In practice, this approach causes problems in criminal cases. While according to some votes and thorough understanding the details of subject, it can be said that there is one blood money (diah) in vegetative life for all damages not more.
