Semantics of " descent" in Quran by emphasis on words related to Quran descent

In linguistics, studying the relationship between word and meaning is called semantics. It is one of knowledge by which we can understand precise concept of words and its application in the field of Quran.Semantics of descent in Quran by emphasis on words related to Quran descent will be discussed in this paper. Initially, the author pays attention to semantics of descent, and then, he refers to lexical meaning of descent and its Quranic applications and the relationship between lexical meaning and Quranic applications as follows; descending rain, clothes, eight-fold quadruped, and iron, entering, quotation, sending, descending Bible, and descending Quran.Also, words related to Quran descent have been divided into two parts by the author; a) co-rooted words to Quran descent such as revelation, and b) co-field words to descent such as Divine Revelation, induction, reading, recitation, slow recitation of Quran Maji’ and Ja’, Etyan and Ita;, Ghass, obligation, training, lexical meaning, Quranic application and the relationship between them has been discussed by the author in this paper.
