The Study of Rational Choice Effect of Social Happiness (Case study: citizenship of Tehran)

This study tries to find whether rational choice and diversity of choices influences social happiness. The theoretical framework of the study is based on Zsolnai’s theory on social rationality and Landenberg's social happiness theory. The approach of this survey is causal-descriptive. The statistical population consists of Tehran citizens in the age range of 18-65 years old in 1391 (2012) with a sample size of 400 people selected using Cochran's formula. The results indicate that moral saint choice, which is a combination of respecting norms and other-regarding altruism, has the greatest impact on social happiness.
