A survey of the impact of transformational leadership on manpower productivity with the mediating role of organizational entrepreneurship

Efforts to enhance skill, creativity and knowledge of work-force are considered as a strategic priority at all levels of organizations. Issues related to leadership style and organizational entrepreneurship are such factors that lead to enhance human resources productivity. This research was carried out with the aim of investigating the impact of transformational leadership on the manpower productivity with regards to the mediation role of organizational entrepreneurship. Research sample of this study included 140 employees of the Municipality in the city of Isfahan, Iran. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed by the software “Smart PLS”. Following hypotheses testing, the path coefficients which were obtained at the level of 0.05 confirmed the overall conformity of research model. The results demonstrated that transformational leadership has a positive and significant impact on manpower productivity. In addition, the indirect impact of transformational leadership on manpower productivity through the organizational entrepreneurship interface variable was also known to be significant. Therefore, we conclude that, transformational leadership and organizational Entrepreneurship can be considered as affective factors in improving manpower productivity.
