The Relationship between adolescent- parent conflict, resiliency with adolescent psychological problems Second and third level education in four areas of the city Shiraz

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between conflict (parent –adolescent)، resiliency with psychological problems in teenagers in shiraz city. This study was a descriptive study of correlation type. statistical population Were boys and girls students in secondary school education in four areas in the city Shiraz in the year 91 to 92 and They Were in the 2nd and 3ed years of junior high. For this purpose، 400 students (190 girls - 210 boys) in the second and third-year With cluster sampling method were selected. Questionnaires to collect data from the Depression، Anxiety، Stress DASS Lovibond & Lovibond 1995، Conflict Tactics Scale Murray Strauss1990، Form Conflict with parents and Resiliency Scale and Conner& DavidSon 2003 were used. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The results showed that there were a significant relationship between conflict (parent– adolescent) and psychological problems. Moreover there was a significant relationship between psychological problems (depression، anxiety، stress) and conflict (verbal، aggression and reasoning). In addition، using regression analysis، psychological problems and resiliency could be predicted by conflict and reasoning respectively. So the move conflict were related to higher psychological problems and higher resiliency were related to lower psychological problems.
