Potentials of Architecture According to Quality of Human Life in the Holy Quran

The main objective of an architectural work is to elevate the quality of humans’ life. Moreover, Architecture gets its qualities from the qualities of human life. Since the quality of human life receives its different spiritual aspects from the cognitive system and perceptions of the architect and his life, it is not possible to discuss the relationship between architecture and human life quality in a research without Based on the presumptions of this study, the most effective cognitive system is that presented by Islam in the teachings of Quran, which is rooted in the innate existence (Fitrat) of man, and “Hayat-e-Tayyebah” is its fundamental basis. Therefore, the main consideration in this paper is to discuss the teachings of the Quran about the quality of human life and how they can be used in architecture. The aim has been to introduce an interdisciplinary research possibility using modeling and logical argumentation and analyzing issues in architecture with a look at the theoretical framework of the Holy Quran toward human and his life. To this end, knowledge about humans has been introduced as the basic cognition in architecture that leads to understanding human life. Finally, potentials of architecture have been redefined in interaction with the quality of human life.
