The Relationship between Role Clarity and Job Compatibility of Employees in Sport and Youth Offices of Western Azerbaijan Province

The aim of the present study was to identify the relationship between role clarity and job compatibility of employees in Sport and Youth offices of Western Azerbaijan province. The method of the study was descriptive-correlation and the statistical population consisted of all employees (N=300) in Sport and Youth offices of Western Azerbaijan province in 2012. With regard to the population and Morgan table, 175 subjects were selected as the sample by the stratified random sampling method. Data were collected by Dawis and Lofquist (1991) job compatibility questionnaire (α=0.83), Sawyer (1992) questionnaire (α=0.88) and personal information questionnaire. To analyse the data, Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate analysis of variance were used. Results showed a positive significant relationship between role clarity and job compatibility and between role clarity components and job compatibility components in Sport and Youth offices of Western Azerbaijan province. There was no significant difference in mean opinions of employees about role clarity components and job compatibility components considering demographic variables (gender, career history and level of education).
