The Effect of Interval Training on Liver Enzymes (ALT,AST,AL) Changes after Tamoxifen Consumption in Mice with Breast Cancer Tumor

Liver plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein especially in exercise and its enzymes show different responses in response to various types of exercise and consumption of various types of drugs. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of interval training on changes of liver enzymes induced by tamoxifen treatment in mice with breast cancer. For this purpose, 20 balb/c female mice were divided into four groups including tumor, tumor + training, tumor + drug and tumor + drug + training. Training program consisted of 6 weeks of interval training with 20-55% vo2max, 5 sessions per week, with 1x2 repetitions in the first week and 1x10 repetitions in the last week. The rest intervals were 1/1 active and the drug was injected every day during research program. At the end of the protocol, the levels of AST, ALT, AL, Albumin and creatinine were measured with Elisa method. The findings showed that the levels of AST, ALT, AL, creatinine and albumin in training + tumor, training + tumor + drug and tumor decreased in comparison with tumor + drug group (p<0.01). On the other hand, levels of AST and ALT decreased significantly in training + tumor in comparison with tumor and tumor + drug groups (p<0.05). Finally, probably physical activity can prevent higher levels of liver enzymes in tumor + drug group.
