Relation Between Spirituality and the Feeling of Shame and Sin

Abstract:
Objectives
The author of the study aims at analyzing the feeling of shame and sin as moral and social unconscious excitements which are two key definitions in psychology. The paper attempts to predict moral excitements based on spiritual aspects. Method
The method of the research is descriptive correlative and the statistical community of the research includes 388undergraduate girls and boys at Shiraz University based on multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data collection is through spirituality scale. To determine reliability of measures, cronbach alpha coefficient was calculated and to examine validity, factor analysis method is used. Results
The results of the article indicate the relationship with others as a significant predictor of shame and negative excitement but the aspects like transcendence, meaning and aim and inner tranquility are not predictors of shamefulness. there is a positive significant relationship between the relation with others, transcendence, and meaningfulness and aim as the predictors of sinful feelings. The inner tranquility predicts the feeling of sin significantly. Conclusion
The authors of the present survey conclude that spirituality predicts the feeling of sinfulness positively and predicts the feeling of shamefulness negative.Keywords:
