Jurisprudence and legal Investigation of Suicide Attacks from the Perspective of Islam and International Law

One of the most common and widespread phenomena in international society developments as well as most controversial issues in Islamic and International Law is suicide operations (Kamikaze) which unfortunately during the latter decades have been extended. Due to the novelty of the phenomenon in the contemporary world and lack of definitive rules in this regard, there are different interpretations between Islamic doctrine and legal literature. On the other hand, in light of the international law especially international humanitarian law suicide operation has been considered as a prominent sample of terrorism- unless in some very restrict exceptional situation of international armed such an operation could be authorized. So, in this paper comparative analysis in Islamic jurisprudence and modern international law, with their various aspects of both areas will be explored.
