The Impact of Knowledge Network on Product Innovation Performance using Structural Equation Modeling: A Case Study of E-commerce Companies in Isfahan Province
Abstract:
The new knowledge enables organizations to gain competitive advantage and also improves organizational performance. Knowlege networks is one of the main sources of knowledge.The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between knowledge management and product innovation performance. To achieve this goal, a conceptual framework of the performance in product innovation is proposed with respect to factors of knowledge management and product development strategies. Next, an empirical research is performed for the impact of strategic focus on new product development and product innovation performance from the perspective of technology, customer and competition knowledge. The statistical population is selected from IT experts in the field of knowledge management and innovation from e-commerce companies of Esfahan province and academic experts. In this research, structural equation model and AMOS software are used to examine and test the conceptual model, and exploratory factor analysis is used to confirm the validity of research criteria and structural validity. This study shows that the product innovation performance is created by knowledge management systems. The result of study shows that some product development strategies have a significant impact on the product innovation performance and knowledge networks. Among product development strategies, incremental strategy has no significant impact on product innovation performance. Also, knowledge networks have a significantly positive effect on the product innovation performance.
