Cyberspace Crime Recognition

One of the main topics of the Twelfth United Nations’ Congress in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice is cybercrimes and the challenges facing them. Because of the continuous development of technology and, hence, the development of the ways of committing crimes despite the proposed solutions during the last fifty years, it has been difficult to cope with them.Since mid-90s AD, the internet issue has been an important matter for most of the countries, particularly developing countries including Islamic countries. According to sociologists, the 21st century’s people seek their bounds and communicative environments in the two real and cyber spaces and their socialization processes are operationalized in these two spaces. Thus, as the virtual space has created opportunities and constructive and excellent conditions for human development in the 21st century, facilitated the life and communications, it can provide the means of committing crimes, a space for being a criminal or victim, and an environment for committing cybercrimes as well. The awareness of the consequences of internet and, alongside, taking appropriate strategies into considerations for proper use and preventing its probable negative outcomes is considerably important.This manuscript addresses the internet psychology and its negative consequences on human health and behavior and also deterring in internet and the effects of internet on delinquency and victimization.
