The Role of Police in Islamic-Iranian Doctrine of Security

Background and This study sought to examine and scientifically investigate the role and functions of police in the formation of Islamic-Iranian Doctrine of Security. Today, security is based on the different approaches driven from various philosophic-thinking schools of thoughts and it has different origins based on the conceptual and epistemological systems. The security notion in Islamic monotheistic worldview is based on spiritual-value and ethical rates on the bases of faith and thralldom and human competent practice in social relations. The mutual effect of Islam and Iran and the significant role of Islamic worldview, in one hand, and the important roles of the Iranian Muslim scholars in the history and civilization and Islamic science are crystal clear issues. The vision of Islamic-Iranian Doctrine of Security is one of the important issues in Islamic Republic of Iran. In this regard, police and law enforcement can play an important role. This study is of a fundamental type and the method is descriptive. This study addresses the role of police and law enforcement elites and Iranian security scholars in the process of Islamic-Iranian Theory of Security formation using documentary method.Findings and The results of the investigation show that the glamorous history of literature and Monotheistic teachings are driven from Islam and Muslim scholars and intellectuals and the holy Muslim scholars and jurists, specially Shiat school, contain principles and fundamental basics within the domains of security and its formation. And the valuable experiences after the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini (P.B.U.H) and his profound thoughts and also Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is rooted in the Quran and the lives of infallible Imams (P.B.U.T) is an important resource for of Islamic-Iranian doctrine of security. The elites of police science in Iran can have a determining role in this area by organizational and knowledge-based management. The conceptual model in this study consists of a triangle: 1- the invaluable and scientific legacy of Islamic world and Shiat in Iran and Islam and monotheistic teachings of Quran, particularly mam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader; 2- the scholars and intellectuals in the domain of police-security studies in universities and seminaries, particularly the police and the armed forces’ scientific and academic institutions; 3- organizing and managing the scholars and intellectuals and forming police theorizing seats.
