Criminal Prevention of Cyber Fraud

The use of computer technology and the internet in the production and exchange of information has led to increase of social and economic changes; these developments, however, are dangerous in some important aspects including the creation of the offenses committed in cyberspace. Currently, computer crimes are done with various forms of which internet scams are considered as examples of common internet financial crime. The purpose of this study was to determine effective strategies for preventing online fraud and investigate the effect of the proposed solutions. The research method was of an analytic-descriptive and survey research type. A questionnaire and interview techniques were employed for data collection. The statistical population of the study includes all of the judges, preventive police officers, and computer engineers in Karaj city among whom individuals were randomly selected. The data were analyzed using SPSS software. Findings and The results indicate that from the evaluation strategies, the increase of legal order in society is the most effective strategy for preventing online fraud and in this approach the most effective measure is the dissemination of information by mass media.
