Trend analysis of dust Tabriz

In this study, data is used to identify trend of annual and seasonal dusty days in Tabriz Synoptic Station. First, to provide a preliminary view of the climatology of dust in the Tabriz City, yearly and monthly changes of average number of days with dust is analyzed by using charts. Then, to review the trend of occurrence of these phenomenon two non-parametric statistical methods of Mann-Kendall and Sen’s Estimator was selected. The results showed that because of input data nature, the Mann-Kendall and Sen’s Estimator methods have very good performance for analyzing of dust phenomena trend. Although the climatic condition of Tabriz region is not Favorable for dust production, but observation frequency of dusts in this region has significant increased trend. And the seasonal changes in dust frequency were shown that dust observations in all seasons except winter increases at 95% or 99% confidence level. Also the use of rank test of Mann-Kendall clear that frequency of dusty days has increased in Tabriz since 1956.
