Study of Jihadists Characteristics in the form of Spiritual Intelligence Components

Jihadi management in the first decade of the Islamic revolution in Jahade-e Sazandegi (construction Jihad) which is based on Islamic values, on the confidence of human forces (jihadists) have higher productivity than other organizations in the country despite limited financial and capital resources. Therefore, evaluation of the role of human forces and characteristics of Jihadist must be taken into consideration in explaining Jihadi management. Thus, the aim of this paper is to investigate and extract the Jihadists’ characteristics and make a comparison with components of spiritual intelligence. Utilizing the content analysis method, 57 articles related to the topic of research published in a collection of national conference of culture and Jihadi management articles in 2007, 2008 and 2009 have been studied. The properties of Jihadists have also been considered. The findings, based on the coding of concepts and extraction of sub-themes revealed that there are many affinities between Jihadists and what is called spiritual intelligence in world’s scientific literature. It can be categorized on the basis of Robert Emmons spiritual intelligence model. Totally, 46 sub-themes were identified and introduced as a feature of Jihadists and they classified into 5 main themes that were more general.
