Factors Affecting Participation of Basij Members in Promotion of Social Security and Order (A Case Study of Charmahal-and- Bakhtiari Province)

This article examines the factors affecting participation of Basij members in promotion of social security and order. Moreover, it seeks to identify the most significant factors that affect participation of Basij members in promotion of social security and order. The research design is descriptive. Its community includes all members of Charmahal-and-Bakhtiari Basij. 348 people have been chosen by using multi-stage approach. They are from different cities. The required information was collected through questionnaire. Ultimately, the obtained data analyzed through correlation and regression tests. Some of the findings are as follows: The average of Basij social participation components is higher than average score of accountability, participation experience, satisfaction of Basij members, sense of belonging and social trust. They are all higher than mean value. There is a meaningful relation between accountability, experience, members of Basij satisfaction from services and performances of organizations providing security and order, sense of belonging, social trusts, and their partnership with organizations providing security and order. Moreover, regression analysis showed that only the accountability and participation experience are meaningful. The impact of other variables on members of Basij participation is not meaningful.
