The investigation of the effectiveness of Quranic teachings on Quran reading skill in elementary schools: the case of Bardeskan elementary schools

Abstract:
This article، through researchical classical pilot plans، investigates the effects of Quranic-elementary schools teachings، as extracurricular programs، on the Quranic reading skill of the students. To this aim، the city of Bardeskan was selected for the study and the sample was divided into two groups، namely treatment and control. Each of the groups were tested before and after the classes on reading skills. The only difference was that the control group did not take part in the classes. The findings revealed that these educational courses had paramount effect on the reading skill of the elementary students. According the statistics used in the study- mean، standard deviation، network charts، non-parametric tests and especially ANCOVA، it was revealed that accent has showed the most effect. The findings also revealed significant difference in terms of gender. Therefore، it can be claimed that Quranic teachings has had positive effects on the elementary students and at least has achieved some of its goals
