The Evaluation of the Rate of Readiness and Ability of Arabic Students for Employment in Workplaces Related to This Major

Abstract:
Having a university degree for those in search of a job in internal and foreign settings is necessary but not enough. Getting various jobs requires skills in various fields without which one cannot do his best in any job. Arabic field is no exception to this general rule. However, during recent years there has been a great development of job opportunities related to Arabic field and these jobs involve required and sufficient skills. Therefore, this study aims at counting relevant jobs to Arabic major through utilizing a descriptive- analytic method. Moreover, it uses a survey research and designs a questionnaire and implements it among the university scholars and professors and also M.A. students in five Tehran universities. The questionnaire contained questions asking their viewpoints regarding the amount of readiness of the students to enter the job market based on separate job opportunities. Some results indicate that most of the students acquire theirs skills and academic instructions at a low and middle level. Consequently, some suggestions are given to improve the current situation.
