Recognition the plants used by honeybee in Jajrood Watershed, Tehran Province

Sُُc student of Islamic Azad university (Ghaemshahr branch) - Apicultural Society of Iran Khojir National Park with 9380ha space is situated in 35° north latitude and 51° east longitude and 1547m altitude from sea. The highest altitude from the sea is 2600m and the lowest of it is 1450m. Whole the area except its north east part is under protection the environment government. Unknowing the new scientific methods and the attractive plants for honeybee and kinds of using for it, is caused many difficult for the beekeepers. Thus, for solving these problems, at first the plants of the region were recognized. For this purpose the plants which had been distributed in Jajrood Watershed, the area of Researches Center of Tehran Province and around the beehives of Animal Sciences Research Institute of Iran, were collected and transported to Herbarium of the institute for recognizing. Results showed that 22 Family include 71 species are existed in the region. The most important family is Compositae with 15 species (21%) and after it the important families are orderly consist of Leguminosae with 13 species (18%), Labiatae with 9 species (13%), Rosaceae with 9 species (13%) and the other families with 25 species (35%) are in further steps. In this study plant species in point of using for honeybee were categorized to 3 groups inclusive nectar plants (20%), pollen plants (32%) and nectar-pollen plants (48%).
