The effectiveness of stress inoculation training on strengths and difficulties in adolescent sons of veterans

The aim of this study was an investigation of the effectiveness of stress inoculation training on strengths and difficulties in adolescent sons of veterans. Present study quasi-experimental method with pre-test - post-test and follow-up was performed. The statistical population of all high school adolescent sons of veterans in the 1388-1389 academic school years in Isfahan city that among them 26 subjects were, randomly selected cluster sampling method. Measurement instruments in this study of demographic questionnaire and strengths and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ),(Goodman, 1997). After intervention the post -test was performed and was performed follow up 4 months later. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and covariance analysis and software SPSS-20 was analysis. The results showed that stress inoculation training had a significant effect on reduction of behavioral difficulties in adolescents of veterans in post-test and follow- up (P≤0.05). based on these findings can be concluded that stress inoculation training decrease difficultiesand increase the strength of. Thus, this study suggested use stress inoculation training in order to decrease difficulties and increase strengthin student.
