Design of Blood Supply Chain in Times of Earthquake Disaster under Uncertainty (Case study: Tehran city)

Abstract:
Throughout the history, earthquakes led to not only the destruction of many homes and damage to a lot of people, but also homeless of people and in need of medical aid. One of the key issues which have always great importance during the disaster is supply the needed blood of blood unit's applicant people. Therefore, in this paper with the design of blood supply chain at the time of earthquake disaster attempted that the needs of blood units applicant people properly met. In addition for the designing of this issue in accordance with the real world, Tehran is considered as a case study and the data of blood transfusion network in this city is used. On the other hand, with respect to the fact that the uncertainty plays an important role in the blood supply chain at the time of the earthquake disaster, the problem has modeled using fuzzy programming. The results show that considering the blood supply chain in accordance with the real world and under conditions of uncertainty, can help to the decision makers of blood transfusion network in times of earthquake disaster.
