Green Training of Human Resources in Oil Industry

Abstract:
Training and development is a facilitator of the green human resource management. The goal of this study is to evaluate the green training in the Iranian oil industry. The required data was collected and analyzed using the qualitative approach and interviewing with 12 selected expert in the Iranian oil industry and also the academic professors. The results of content analysis indicates that creating a culture and the necessary infrastructure have priority for the effective implementation of green training in the oil industry. Moreover, tailor-made green training programs should be based on specific framework suitable for this industry. Alignment of these trainings with the goals of human resources working in the oil industry, keeping the programs up-to-dated, and adjusting them with the latest international standards are some factors mentioned by the interviewed experts in this regard.
