Hybrid Power Generating Systems Based on Solar energy

The sun provides a tremendous resource for energy. Usage of solar energy in order to run stirling engines, gas or steam turbines reduce fuel consumption and environmental impacts of fossil fuel power generation. Hybrid energy which offers greater benefits by blending together the attributes of many diverse renewable energy sources and fossil fuels provide increased system efficiency as well as higher performance. Many regions of Islamic Republic of Iran have high potential to use solar energy in power generation systems and are proper to consider hybrid solar systems. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate novel methods of relating solar power in thermal systems to generate electrical and thermal power. Hybrid power may cause efficiency augmentation, fuel consumption conservation, decrease impact of fossil fuels and lowering energy generation cost.
