Abstract:
Folklore is one of the most valuable resources existing within the spirit and philosophy of life, the signs of which can be indicative of their community. Some scholars in cultures, like Nolan and Lansky believe that cultures are subject to innovations. According to them cultural innovations occur through borrowing, gradual change, combination, etc. One of the issues in folklore is the legend which is considered as the mother to literature. They are created primarily by anonymous authors and go through alterations since they transmitted orally in folklore. Based on this viewpoint, this study intends a practical criticism of one of the legends in the folklore of Jiroft. Based on the analysis of the signs of Jiroft’s tribal culture, it also tried to explain those signs which have gone through changes as a result of cross-cultural encounters with the warm regions of Jiroft.
