Jurisprudential Investigation of the Reasons for the Prohibition of the Application of the Weapons of Mass Destruction

One of the new issues in the governmental jurisprudence is the ruling about the application of the weapons of mass destruction in a war against aggressive infidels. Having defined the question and clarified the subject, the author tries to argue that the initial principle from an Islamic viewpoint is prohibition; later he proves, from the viewpoint of Shiite jurisprudence, the prohibition to apply weapons of mass destruction through providing such reasons as the prohibition to poison drinking water and residential areas during a war, prohibition of aggression, tyranny and injustice, prohibition to kill civilians, prohibition to violate treaties, prohibition to use fire-causing weapons in a war, the rule of
those who try to create corruption, the ruleof wizr (consequences of an action), the necessity to follow the Islamic ruler. He has also answered the reasons of critiques such as the rule of aggression, the rule of deterrence and retaliation.
