Good governance point of view of the Quran and Nahj-al-lbalagha with emphasis on accountability
Accountability in Islam is important and has special place that God reminds it to the prophet, people and many leaders of Islamic society in many verses of the Holy Quran, and the prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the first leader of Islamic society always regarded it. Also the different kinds and forms of accountability are observable in the speeches and behaviors of Imam Ali (PBUH). Nowadays accountability is considered as one of the main principles of good governance in the international system. In this paper we are going to prove that accountability which is as component of good governance from the international systems point of view is traceable clearly in the Holy Quran and Imam Alis speeches and historical reports related to the way of his governing and ruling.
