The study of vertical connection of verses in Hafiz's Ghazals
Author(s):
Abstract:
One of the issues studied in the stylistics of Hafiz's poetry is the vertical imagery and as some experts in this field think is the lack of coherence among the verses of a Ghazal. Hence, Hafiz has been considered as one who paved the way for the emergence of Indian style.
In this essay, by considering the essence of Hafiz's Divan, i. e. love and based on the associations, contents, and the extension of meaning emanated from it which disturbs and separates the connection of verses, it has been tried to clarify the centerism and new connection in these verses by the help of love.
So, in addition to clarifying the hidden and internal connections, some other points and fine meanings will be gained.
