The Relationship between Fear of Intimacy and Attachment Styles among Elderly Divorced Women

The interpersonal problems of divorced women are vitally important due to the increased divorce rate and female elderly population. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the relationship between attachment style and fear of intimacy in elderly divorced women.
This co-relational study was conducted on 80 elderly divorced women selected via simple random sampling in Qom city, 2015. The data was collected by Hazan& Shaver‘s attachment questionnaire and Descutner &Thelen‘s Fear of Intimacy Scale, analyzed by Pearson Correlation in SPSS 17.
