Identification of Common Point of Entrance Massage of Seven Qajar Public Building through Discourse Analysis of Motifs

Abstract: the entrance is an important part of a building that have ability to express its creator or employer's beliefs to viewers. It's possible to count the motifs discourse as a message from entrance's designer or employer; so it can be read and understood. Discourse of entrances of seven public building from Qajar era is the matter of this research. The identification of common point of latent massages in this entrances through discourse analysis of motifs, is the research problem. The goal of research is identification of ways which used in seven selected cases communicating with viewers. This research went ahead with descriptive-analytical method and its data collected through direct observations, library studies and original images .This research revealed that the process of massaging in all cases have done using different motifs, various themes and delicate composition, but in different ways. Discourse analogy of selected cases showed that the victory of good over evil is common point of all cases. The main reason for the attention of designers and employers of selected entrances to this kind of discourses, can be understood through Qajar government tendency to show their political, religious and ancient power and legitimacy to domestic and foreign viewers.
