A Study on Factors Related to Woman Feeling of Security (Case Study of Women Living in Mehr Residential Complexes of Ilam)

Increased migration, physical development, young structure of the population that has reached marriage age, need to housing, and lack of enough land to build new households, have made it important to pay attention to construction of housing complexes in Ilam. Such huge structures with their condensed spaces are prone to problems and issues such as lack of feeling of security among residents. This has been preoccupation of thinkers, social pathologists and relevant authorities. Present paper uses survey method and with a sample of 274 persons in order to study women feeling of security in Mehr residential complex of Ilam and its relative factors. Evaluation of hypotheses suggest that there are direct meaningful relationships between satisfaction of police, social control, social capital, social and religious orientation and sense of security (sig: 99%). There is no relationship between coping strategies with environment variable and the dependent variable. Interpretation of the results of multiple regression analysis showed that satisfaction with variables of performance of the police and social capital explain nearly 32% changes of dependent variable. Overall, the evaluation results show that the model of this study has an average ability to explain and predict results.
