Geopolitics and balance of power in Caspian sea

Abstract:
The Caspian Sea region, because of the proximity of two permanent power - Russia and Iran- and the emergence of newly independent Republic, is one of the most dynamic places in the world. In addition, the continuity of interests of other global actors, including the United States and Europe with the coastal countries has added to the complexity and dynamics. In this regard, the region's energy reserves according to the region as well as trade and transport corridor have followed implications for regional and trans-regional actors in the field of independence, stability and security. Therefore, the question of this study is that the dynamic component of political, economic and military of regional and trans-regional actors what affect on the balance of power Caspian Sea region? In response to these questions, this article assumes that competition between countries in the region on strategic issues and energy have caused the policy alignment between them and the balance of power in the Caspian Sea.
