Designing the learning organization for higher education institutions, case study of Imam Hussein (AS) officer&Pasdar training university

Abstract:
Introduction
Higher education centers, in addition to the task of education and improving the knowledge and learning in the society, are responsible to respond the changes through learning development. This study aims to design a learning organization for higher education institutions.
Method
This study is an “applied study” in terms of study type, “Prospective” in terms of research design, and “a survey” in terms of data collection method. The study sample was comprised of 450 professors and the Staff of Sepah Headquarter of the comprehensive university of Imam Hussein (AS). They were selected using stratified random sampling, and 208 subjects were selected. A questionnaire with 102 questions and unstructured and semi-structured interviews were used as the research instruments. Cronbach›s alpha of the questionnaire was 0.986. Content validity was validated by experts and academic experts through applying the coefficient of rubble, and structure validity was confirmed through exploratory factor analysis. Spss and Lizrel software, Friedman tests, binomial and structural equations were used to analyze patterns and fitness.
Results
The results showed that the learning organization model has 6 dimensions, 22 components and 73 indexes. In determining the dimensions and components which was performed by analyzing the theoretical fields and models, the learning organization model of the university was designed with regard to the dimensions of organic structure, knowledge-driven leadership and management, learning-based human resources, the system of learning and dissemination of knowledge, learning-focused strategy and supportive culture. The relationships between significant factors were identified.
Discussion
According to the findings of the study, the organic structure is placed in the first position in terms of acquisition of shares. Authorities should adopt measures to lead activities of students, faculty and staff toward group working. Instructions that are learning barriers themselves should be removed. Guidelines and rules should be established to facilitate learning situation.
