Explaining the Strategic Situation of Teachers Training in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province; using SWOT Analysis

The present research studies the strategic situation of teachers training in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province using SWOT analysis. The research method is descriptive-field ones. The population of the study included all teachers of primary schools in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province as being 5570 teachers in the educational year 2014-2015. 360 teachers were selected through multistep cluster random sampling based on Cochrane formula. SWOT analysis researcher-made questionnaire was distributed among them. Content validity was used to determine the validity of the questionnaire and Cronbach alpha to determine the reliability (α=0.91). the data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, one-sample t-test, Freedman statistc test, external and internal factors evaluation matrix. The results showed that high levels of teacher's knowledge (strength), the lack of necessary financial resources to successfully do the plans (weakness), the existence of economical advocates and subsides to education by the state (opportunities), and teacher's personal and economic problems (threats) are the most important priorities of SWOT analysis. The results also showed that primary teachers training in Kohkiloye_Boyer Ahmad province places in WO situation.
