Moral Absoluteness from the Viewpoint of Allame Tabatabaei

Abstract:
Some researchers have never agreed with Allame Tabatabaei about considering morality as an absolute affair. The purpose of this study is to prove moral absoluteness based on Allame Tabatabaei`s work. To this end, we have described moral obligatory concepts and axiological concepts and analyzed them philosophically. In the area of obligatory concepts, we show that in spite of being subjective, moral obligations are based on facts and they are capable of fulfilling the absoluteness and eternity of morality. In the realm of axiological concepts, mentioning Allame`s two definitions of the terms good and evil, we have specified that one of the definitions are excluded from the realm of practical wisdom, so that discussing it for proving or rejecting absoluteness is futile. The other definition, which is agreeable and disagreeable with the ultimate end shows the necessity in relation and necessitates moral absoluteness.
