Explaining the Impact of Social Networks of Mobile Phones Shahid Beheshti University Students' Sense of Security
Today, social networks have created an evolutionary change in the social system, as among the internet users, cellphones have been welcomed as arguably the most influential services offered on the Internet. This article aims to explain the impact of social networks of mobile phones on Shahid Beheshti University students' sense of security.
In terms of the objectives, the present study is of an applied research type and in terms of methodology, it is a survey study. The data were collected using a valid and reliable researcher-made questionnaire (α=.79). The statistical population of the study included the students of Shahid Beheshti University. Based on Morgan table, 91 students were randomly selected and questioned. The data were analyzed using SPSS software, ANOVA test, and Kendall correlation coefficients.
Research findings showed that the research community sees the mobile networks to be effective in the increase of sense of security through social solidarity components, personal and social identities, and creation of satisfaction due to communication and information dissemination. ANOVA and regression coefficients also confirmed these findings.
