Clarifying the Disciplinary Supervision Guidelines on Society in the Belief of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H)

Islam is the only school that introduces pattern. Imam Ali (PBUH) was chosen as an example and model of intellectual and political authority of community by the Prophet for being a student of the Messenger of Allah from childhood to youth, and because of several competencies that are needed to run the country, as his successor. In the era of Imam Ali (PBUH), the Islamic country was largely extensive as far as Egypt was considered as a provincial government, the entire region of Azerbaijan was another province and Caucasus and the big Palestinian (including Syria, Jordan, free Palestine, occupied Palestine and part of Sinai) were other provinces of the country under the leadership of Imam Ali. Ruling this vast country - the entire Hijaz, Yemen and the Gulf region and ... - was not easy; but Imam Ali (PBUH) was so closely monitoring this vast country that even saw Uthman ibn Hanif, the governor of Basra, attended a dinner party that only the rich people were present and there was no way for poor people to be at the party (Nahj al-Balagha, letter 45). Although his administration was delayed for twenty-five years due to sabotage of special people and the following of laymen, over a five-year rule security very effective and efficient measures were taken that is considered a valuable model for the police in the Muslim community.

The present study is of a descriptive- analytical research study. It addresses the investigation, representation, analysis and the inference of records using qualitative content analysis, gathering behavioral and speech tradition of Imam Ali (PBUH) about the basic steps in the disciplinary supervision of police on community.

Based on the results, his disciplinary measures can be divided into two aspects of hardware and software dimensions; they have been categorized in the software aspect, including protection of human dignity, communicating with people and trying to reform the criminals and perpetrators of disorder in society and the hardware aspect, including crime detection, protection of personalities, monitoring public places and dealing with flagrant crimes.
