Sociological Explanation of Stereotypes among Students
Stereotype is a typical of conventional beliefs of individuals to each other that the groups in terms of history and the general belief apply it. Accordingly, the present study aimed to examine the factors influencing stereotypes among students. Survey study method was conducted by questionnaire and validity was determined by Cronbach's alpha. A sample of 368 people determined through Cochran formula and random sampling questionnaires were distributed among them. Analytical findings show that between gender, ethnic identity, social trust, social distance, inter-ethnic prejudice, economic –social state, the level of average has significant relationship with stereotypes and the place of life; income and age were not significant. Regression results show that the adjusted coefficient of determination is equal to 249/0 and multiple correlation coefficients equal to 467/0 respectively.
