Connected but Alone (Sherry Turkle)

Sherry Turkle studies how our devices and online personas are redefining human connection and communication, people go on their phone during cooperate, board meetings and also during other places such as class, in the car, at universities and so on. They live and communicate with their friends in their devices but not with their friends nearby. As we expect more from technology, do we expect less from each other? She asks us to think deeply about the new kinds of connection we want to have. But she agree that technology also giving us the opportunity to affirm our values and our direction.
