Sociological analysis of social factor affecting the improvement of culture of citizenship (A case study of Boushehr)

The behavior of citizenship and the quality of performance in social affairs considers as the basic needs of every society and one of indexes of development. The culture of citizenship and their vital elements are very important in order to establish that culture . The present paper examines the social factor affecting the improvement of culture of citizenship. For this purpose some theories are used like Marx, Parsons, and Turner `s theories. Also the hypotheses are formulated based on mentioned theories ;some variable are as follows the awareness of citizenship, attention to collective interests, rule of law ,awareness of internal and external events ,responsibility ,universalism , access to cultural centers, access to media . This is a survey research and the technique of data collection is questionnaire that distributed among 458 people in bushehr`s who were selected through cluster sampling. The results show that the awareness of citizenship, awareness of internal and external events ,responsibility ,access to media affect the improvement of culture of citizenship meanwhile ,universalism , rule of law , collective interests, access to cultural centers have no significant relationship with dependent variable.
