The Islamic Development Perspective towards Millennium Development Goals

Abstract:
Fifteen years ago, the world leaders gathered together at the Millennium Summit of the United Nations in 2000. They agreed to try to achieve a set of within the time limits of fifteen years. In this regard, unfortunately human beings could made a significant success to Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger, Achieve Universal Primary Education, Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women, Reduce Child Mortality, Improve Maternal Health, Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and other Diseases, Ensure Environmental Sustainability. This study tries to highlight the neglected possibilities to achieve development goals in the Islamic countries. The theory suggests that the development purposes consistent with human values and beliefs will be more effective to provoke the sense of human responsibility and action. Based on the teachings of the Quranand the Hadith a struggle has made to find effective guarantees for citizens to be committed and faithful to the development goals.
