Relationship between Constructive and Non-Constructive Thinking and Immune-Activation

Abstract:
The present study aimed to study relationship between constructive and non-constrictive thinking and immune-activation. The study was conducted with a correlation method. The study population included students in Islamic Ardabil Azad University in 2013 (N=12000). Using random cluster method, 315 subjects were selected they completed Epstein constructive and non-constructive thinking and are researcher made checklist for the assessment of body immunity system. Data were analyzed using pearson correlation confident and Multivariate regression method. Results showed that there was no significant relationship between constructive and non-constructive thinking and immune-activation. The variance of thinking could predict 11% immune-activation. Results of MANAOVA indicated that there was a significant difference between individuals with constructive and non-constructive thinking in terms of immune-activation. Therefore, type of the immunity system activity is not merely a medical issue, rather individuals way of thinking could be regarded as a important part of treatment in patients body with immunity disorders and as effective strategies in the prevention of these diseas.
