Technique
Heidegger believes that contemporary human being has caught between two crises: homelessness and nihilism. Also, he distinguishes between old and new techniques. In his view, old technique consists of simple technological instruments and things, but new technique precedes instruments and there is an idea behind new technological things; this idea is a source of knowing everything even human beings and employing them in a better way. He believes that this new technique has three characteristics: 1- it is not neutral; 2- it is ambiguous; 3- it is mysterious. This article argues that there is no substantial difference between old and new techniques and thsese three characteristics belong to human beings. In fact, Heidegger should have not reproached new technique rather he should have reproached human beings who want to satisfy their exploiting instinct by using new findings.
