Investigating the effect of prebiotic alphamune and probiotic protexin in separation and/or in combinationon growth performance of juvenile common carp (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758)

The present studywas conducted to evaluate the effect of different levels of dietary alphamune and protexin alone and/or in combination on growth performance of juvenile common carp (Cyprinus carpio). This experiment was conducted using juvenile common carps with initial average weight of 7.01±0.02 g during 60 days. The investigated were protexin (0 and 0.75 g/kg) and alphamune (0, 0.5 and 1 g/kg) based on which six experimental diets were formulated. Each experimental diet was randomly assigned to triplicate 40-L tanks with stocking density of 10 each. Fish were fed by hand three times day at 3-5% biomass during the experiment.
