The impact of moral intelligence and principal trust building on organizational citizenship behavior of teachers

Abstract:
This study aimed at explaining the impact of moral intelligence of primary school principals on organizational citizenship behavior of teachers with intermediation of trust building of the principals in Khorramābad. The research method was of structural equation or causal modeling and the research population consisted of all primary school principals and teachers in the city of Khorramabād in the academic year 2014-2015. The research sample consisted of 103 primary school principals and 309 primary school teachers in the city of Khorramabād. The data was collected using the moral intelligence questionnaire of Link & Kiel (2005) with alpha (0/84), trust building questionnaire of Ismaili Tarzy et al (1392) with alpha (0/86) and organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire of Samch and Ron (2006) with alpha (0/66). To analyze the data, the descriptive and inferential statistics, i.e., structural equation modeling was run, using SPSS 22 and AMOS 22. The results suggested that moral intelligence directly (0/39) and indirectly, by the role of intermediation trust building (0/30), affect the organizational citizenship behavior. Also, trust building was effective on the organizational citizenship behavior (0/45).
