Comparing aims and content implimennted curriculum with intended curriculum in preschool centers in Kerman

The current research is carried out aiming at studying the objectives and content of the implemented curriculum and comparing with the intended curriculum in preschool centers in the city of Kerman. The research method used for this paper is qualitative and the population consists of all preschool centers and kindergartens in the city of Kerman. The sampling method was chosen according to the objective and the research method; thus 9 preschool centers were purposefully selected. Research means included observation checklist, semi-structured interviews, and document review. Triangulation method was used for the reliability of the research. The findings show that the ultimate objective that most preschools pursue is to improve mental skills and Persian language skills. Content categories of Quranic activities, poetry, hymnody, debate, painting, games and handicrafts were used in all centers. Moreover, objectives of the implemented curriculum corresponded with the intended curriculum to a large extent; however, contents of the implemented curriculum were different from the intended curriculum. In fact, all centers use content categories, but the way they are used are not in accordance with the balanced, appropriate intended curriculum.
